Harvey “Smokey” Stover, 67, of, Mount Ida, AR went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at home. He was born July 29, 1951 in Risen, AR to the late Harvey Dee and Mary Eualie (Cash) Stover. He is preceded in death by both parents and one son Bill Stover.
Harvey served in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War when he was 18. He began to dirt track race after serving his country, which became his hobby. After marrying his wife, they had two children whom he loved and cherished. Harvey then started working as a mechanic in the Mount Ida area, opening his wrecker service, Smokey’s Automotive. In his later years, he enjoyed watching westerns and spending time with his family and their dog, Gizmo.
Smokey is survived by his wife Yvonne, daughter Taylor Stover, son Jacob Stover all of Mount Ida, AR and a cousin Linda Morrison of Risen, AR.
